November 10th, 2010, Oli Ochoa  I was surfing the net today when I came across a heavily trending link. It was to an Amazon book titled The Pedophiles Guide to Love and Pleasure, and it is available right now for the Kindle. Amazon commonly sells ebooks and physical book copies of amateur writers who haven’t landed publishing deals. The author of this one, Phillip R. Greaves II, has four on the site right now, which can be downloaded. One is about the lack of existence of a creator, one is a commentary on the importance of human rights in the government and one is an exploration of the cause and evolution of human sexuality. They all seem thought provoking enough, though maybe not everyone’s cup of tea. → Read More November 10th, 2010, Oli Ochoa  Yesterday we wrote about a missile launch that came off of the California coastline. The military claimed ignorance from every branch, saying that the image captured by CBS didn’t show anything from them. Next, they said no threat for the American people was present, and so not to worry. Not, they are saying the object wasn’t a missile at all. So, what was it? There is still a great deal of mystery surrounding the missile, which was shot at around sunset on Monday evening. → Read More November 9th, 2010, Oli Ochoa  Carnival Cruise Line reported that 3,300 passengers had an unfortunate high seas adventure after an engine room fire sparked on board, power was cut and they were left stranded off the coast of Mexico. The fire was a minor one and there were no injuries. As of this morning they were able to get toilets and water running, but the main power is still not on. Everything is being run on auxiliary power and the seven day cruise has been cancelled as tugboats are sent to the ship to collect the passengers and return them to shore. → Read More November 9th, 2010, Oli Ochoa  CBS News has been reporting that a missile has been launched off the coast of L.A, near Catalina Island, though the origins or purpose are still unknown. The video shows what apears to be a large missile being launched, leaving a large billowing trail of smoke like twisted rope behind it. The view is quite amazing, as it shoots through the sunset off into the distance. It was an impressive capture for the news crew that saw it. → Read More November 8th, 2010, Oli Ochoa  A collection of eleven statues found buried in Berlin will go on display this week, unearthed during a dig to put in a new subway line. Each one was labeled as ‘degenerate’ art by the Nazi regime and ordered destroyed. The statues were found underground on a site of what was once an office building. The building burnt down in 1944, and everything that had not been destroyed had fallen through the levels. “Each floor fell onto the next and everything that couldn’t be burnt collected at the bottom in the basement,” Neues Museum Director Matthias Wemhoff told reporters. → Read More November 8th, 2010, Oli Ochoa  Though originally pushing for a stay on the end of ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’, the law prohibiting homosexuals from openly serving in the military, Defense Secretary Robert Gates has changed his tune on the issue.
